I look far back to the roots of photography when the camera was a drawing aid, and images were not yet fixed and permanent; forming and dissolving in tandem. Influenced by my background in historical image making processes, my work is inspired by analog aesthetics and processes. Using mixed media, raw dried material and unconventional materials, I create works from memory inspired by the places I wander and wade in.
Abstracts are a little new! The aesthetic reminds me of what is seen in a grain enlarger- a tool used to magnify the tiny dots of silver on analog film
